Spotting a Virgo Rising

With the death, resurrection, and ultimate bastardized zombification (I coined a word there, methinks) of TikTok, I will be making long-form versions of those videos on “the YouTube”, as my high school history teacher would say.

With the first series out, a few standalone videos, and the second series well underway, it is going pretty well! 28 subscribers so far!

This is one of the many ways I will use pop culture to help teach you guys about astrology. The faces, bodies, and lives of celebrities can give us good clues about their rising sign.

Thus, when people we know share those attributes and circumstances, we may be able to rectify someones entire chart. All of this done just by observing similarities and coincidences.

Celebrities (from L-R):

  • Ice Spice: Capricorn Sun, Scorpio Moon, Gemini Midheaven

  • Andy Samberg: Leo Sun, Aquarius Moon, and Gemini Midheaven

  • Emma Watson: Aries Sun, Sagittarius Moon, and Gemini Midheaven

  • Michael B. Jordan: Aquarius Sun, Cancer Moon, Gemini Midheaven

  • Timothée Chalamet: Capricorn Sun, Pisces Moon, Taurus* Midheaven

  • Chlöe Bailey: Cancer Sun, Libra Moon, Gemini Midheaven

  • Donald Glover: Libra Sun, Taurus Moon, Gemini Midheaven

  • Elizabeth Debicki: Leo Sun, Leo Moon, Gemini Midheaven

*A whole sign chart for a Virgo rising would have their Midheaven in Gemini, like almost all of these folks do, but I read charts using the Placidus system. This means that all of the Angles (Ascendant/Rising, Imum Coeli (IC)/4th House Cusp, Descendant/7th House Cusp, and Midheaven/Medium Coeli (MC)) aren’t always 90º apart, like Virgo and Gemini are.

That said, having your Ascendant and MC in the same element (in this case, Earth) seems to enhance the Virgo’s ability to turn their hard work into concrete results, mostly monetary ones with Taurus’ influence. For example, Michael and Timothée have a very, very similar career (both starting at age 11 or 12 and both having around 25 film credits) but I think Timothée’s credits are mostly higher paying. There’s also the issue of racism, but this Midheaven difference would also come into play.
