Spotting a Scorpio Rising

With the death, resurrection, and ultimate bastardized zombification (I coined a word there, methinks) of TikTok, I will be making long-form versions of those videos on YouTube.

With the first half of this series out, I have definitely been looking at my analytics. ¡Nine! subscribers, at present, even if some of them are my friends and one of my videos has 40 views (Leo Rising, which does make sense); I can’t wait to see what weekly video uploads will do for that number.

This is one of the many ways I will use pop culture to help teach you guys about astrology. The faces, bodies, and lives of celebrities can give us good clues about their rising sign.

Thus, when people we know share those attributes and circumstances, we may be able to rectify someones entire chart. All of this done just by observing similarities and coincidences.

Celebrities (from L-R):

  • Taylor Swift: Sagittarius Sun, Cancer Moon, Virgo*/Scorpio** Midheaven

  • Jaden Smith: Cancer Sun, Capricorn Moon, Virgo Midheaven

  • Hunter Schafer: Capricorn Sun, Gemini Moon, Leo Midheaven

  • Kid Cudi: Aquarius Sun, Capricorn Moon, Leo Midheaven

  • Justin Bieber: Pisces Sun, Libra Moon, Virgo Midheaven

  • Yara Shahidi: Aquarius Sun, Aries Moon, Virgo Midheaven

  • Frank Ocean: Scorpio Sun, Capricorn Moon, Leo Midheaven

  • 21 Savage: Cancer Sun, Scorpio Moon, Leo Midheaven

    *A whole sign chart for a Scorpio rising would have their Midheaven in Leo, like half of these people do, but I read charts using the Placidus system. This means that all of the Angles (Ascendant/Rising, Imum Coeli (IC)/4th House Cusp, Descendant/7th House Cusp, and Midheaven/Medium Coeli (MC)) aren’t always 90º apart, like Scorpio and Leo are.

    That said, having your Ascendant and MC 90º apart seems to enhance the Scorpio’s ability to stay out of the limelight when they want to. Frank, for one, is known to be extremely elusive, while the other three Leo MC natives are very rarely in the tabloids or blog pages for nefarious (or even beneficent) reasons.

    The Virgo MC natives, however, are more likely to be found attached to negative publicity, but this also boosts their star power, as Water and Earth are complementary elements.
